Thank you for visiting my website. I really love hearing your feelings about a record I've worked on, or a show I've done, or something you'd like to hear me perform or record.

Dear David! I'm very pleased to add something to your guestbook and I`d like to know whether you still give some concerts in 2000 in Germany and where they will take place. I'd be looking forward to see you on stage with other brilliant musicians like Steve Lukather, Michael Landau, Carlos Vega etc. The list of guys you've already been playing with is just too long...! Please tell me too, if we can expect a new album from you. I'll be one of the first listening to it! By the way, I still adore especially the "Los Lobotomys" album as well as "Candyman" with you, Steve, Lenny, Simon, John, Chris and Larry. Best wishes for all your next projects and hope to see you soon!

Wow, what a show last night! The Garfield All-Stars are definitely a band worth seeing! Featuring Steve Ferris, Alex Ligertwood, and the great Steve Ferrone. The band performed selections from the "Tribute to Jeff" Cd, as well as others, including an incredible arrangement of the Isley's "For the Love of You". Hopefully we will see this line-up do some recordings.

I just got my copy of "Recollections".... and am speechless ! What a brilliant jazz album. I was "surprised" that, as a piano player, you invited another piano player to play on your album... and let him solo. This shows how unselfish you are and that you are there for the love of music. You are a model to us all. I really hope that you'll come back to Europe with Kariza later this year (and stop by in Switzerland please !). Best regards. Laurent

Hello David! The concert in Rubigen (CH) was the best I ever heared! I'm a drummer and I was fascinated about this gig. Thank you for the great music! I hope very much that there will soon be a new Karizma-CD with a life-cut. As you said, Vinnie Colaiuta was on fire. He and the whole band was absolutely great! I'm looking forward to seeing you in autumn in Switzerland! Beat Schenk

Please fill in your comments here...!!! I enjoyed visiting your awesome website, but it made me miss you. Please let me know if you are ever playing near Ithaca, NY. The locals call this place gorge-ous because of the beautiful gorges. I must admit that one of your performances that was my favorite was at my sister Cheri's wedding. Yes, your music felt like magic. I feel proud and amazed to have such a talented relative. I appreciate what you wrote about music being spiritual. I certainly feel that way, and I profoundly appreciate the gift you musicians offer to the rest of our lives. Much love, your cousin, Beth

Dear David, Would it be possible to include a "discography" section in your site? I am for instance interested to know whether you did record with George Benson and am unable to find this information. It would be a nice feature for people like me who would like to follow your career and hear more from your playing. Thanks for thinking about it. Best regards. Laurent

Dear David, Thanks for a smoking and brilliant show in Rubigen, Switzerland, yesterday. I am very thankful to my friend Neil for having introduced me to you. Thank you for the kindness extended to me after the show. Karizma is a fantastic band and you, Neil, Vinnie (as you said he was on fire !) and Michael are AMAZING musicians. Thanks for the memories. Hi David, I was wondering when you and Steve Lukather are coming to Holland again. I saw your concerts in Antwerp and The Haque and I am looking forward to hear new stuff. I read on your site that you are visiting Germany and Switzerland with Karizma. It's a pity that you not visiting Holland. I would love to see your band again. Good luck with your concerts! Andre

Thank you, thank you, thank you for keeping Jeff Porcaro alive. I never got to meet him or even see him live (my loss) but he was and remains my drumming / musical idol. I first saw you on Jeff's instructional video and I have to say, the three of you sounded so awesome. I have you Tribute album and all I could think about was that I wish it was Jeff playing. I have spent countless hours with headphones on listening to Jeff/Toto, and picturing him playing. I just can't get enough "Jeff". Is there any place to pay respects to him? Again, thanks David for keeping Jeff at the forefront. You're an awesome musician, keep it up!

Hi Dave! I'm glad to hear about your forthcoming European tour with Karizma! Are you planning to do any shows here in town either before you take off or after you return? Dear David! "Tribute to Jeff" is a top production and I've been sending out buy recommendations to all of my friends. I especially want to complement your piano solos on "Let's stay together" and "Babylon Sisters", because I think they're so tasteful and perfect with those beautiful melodie lines that build up to the rich chord melodie voicings in the end. Can't wait for your next release.

Hey David: I was only able to catch one of your two Spud dates, Monday nite 2/7 after the NAMM show weekend. Your show was fantastic. The Lost Lobotomites were "ON". Great to hear "Donna". Brought up good memories. Greg Bissonett was very, very stellar as were all of you cats. Can't say enough about the mental rocket ride you guys provide for me whenever the LL's, or Karizma get together. Regardless about the lineup, its always an event of extreeeeme greatness. Please, for my sanity, play again real soon. Anyway, thanks again for the extreme groove, hope to see you soon. Later, Jeff Butler
